Inman Feed Mill: Operating the “Good Old Fashioned Way”

The 29349 Inman Times

Photos, Video and Article by Wendy McCarty

Stepping into the Inman Feed Mill is like stepping back in time.  Very few stores like this still exist today.  It is unknown just how old the original building is, but it is understood to have been around “at least” since the 1950’s.  The building still mostly holds the original structure of a past time.  Mason jars full of seeds for sale line the shelves.  Bags full of local feed and seed sit against the wall for sale. Soon, NON-GMO feeds will be added to the store’s stock to feed the local public’s horses, poultry, and livestock. Instruments from another era, now merely decorations, hang from the ceiling and the walls.
